Dear colleagues, volunteers and staff; our business partners; and our donors:

I am proud to be the President of the Newton Marasco Foundation. I passionately believe in its mission and its vital role in bringing sensible environmental solutions to the numerous problems that we as a community, a nation, a world and as a planet, face.

We at NMF believe that environmental stewardship is integral to the fabric of our nation’s continued growth and well-being. We believe protecting and enhancing the natural environment of our communities is a fundamental building block of sound economic growth. Somewhere along the way we have separated sound environmental protection from our national agenda and national dialog—even placing it at odds with economic growth and expansion. We share the philosophy that when economic development and environmental stewardship are intertwined, the end result will enhance the landscape—both commerce and environment—of our communities.

We invest in innovative ideas and programs. We focus on our nation’s youth to inspire this next generation to carry the mantle forward. We aspire to teach the ethos of environmental stewardship to individuals, businesses and communities. We recognize and reward those that demonstrate insight and leadership in this field.

NMF is a young foundation, vibrant, full of promise and energy. We are responsive and responsible. We are innovative and practical. We are multigenerational. We are collaborative. We love what we do.
