Information on the Raffle Package

Four bedrooms total, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the main house and a semi-attached suite with an additional bedroom and bath ~ all nestled around your very own pool!

Take the water taxi to Tamarindo and explore Central America’s largest mangrove estuary — just three hundred yards away! Walk across the lane and you are on the magnificent Playa Grande beach where surfing rules the coast! Enjoy a relaxing nap on the terrace or go fishing and grill your catch on the stainless steel grill. Explore the country — this is truly paradise!

Raffle package includes round trip airfare for two from any departure city in the US, 7 days and 6 nights’ accommodations in Playa Grande, Costa Rica and a lifetime of spectacular memories!

Terms and Conditions

Costa RicaTickets sales begin September 1, 2009 with the winning ticket drawn February 15, 2010. Travel any time in between February 2010 and February 2011 with a few black-out date exceptions.

Raffle package includes two round trip airline tickets and a 7 day-6 night stay at the Casa Kalumina, Paradise Beach, Costa Rica. Trip availability begins February 15, 2010 and ends February, 2011 with the exception of blackout dates for major holidays including: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking and must be reserved 30 days in advance of travel. NMF is responsible for making the reservations. Passengers will fly economy class, round trip from their choice US departure city. NMF is responsible for purchasing the two airline tickets and will consult with the winner to determine flight details. Winner will receive a complete travel packet with all travel details and contact information. Transportation to and from the airport are the responsibility of the winner. Your stay includes all applicable room tax; all incidental charges during your stay are the responsibility of the winner. Departure and arrival airline tax are the responsibility of the winner.

Cancellation trip insurance is recommended and the responsibility of the winner

Tax Information
This raffle is a fund raiser for the Newton Marasco Foundation. All proceeds from this raffle will benefit youth environmental programs of the Newton Marasco Foundation and follows within the foundation’s mission statement. Winner is responsible for all taxes related to the value of the prize and will be given appropriate tax forms at the end of the year. Tax reporting is the responsibility f the winner. Purchase of ticket(s) is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by lax. The Newton Marasco Foundation is a non-profit 501( c)(3).
