Linda Jordan is the Lucky Winner of NMF’s “Go Green/Go France Raffle”

“I feel really lucky and fortunate to have won and I believe in the work of NMF,” says Linda Jordan, NMF’s “Go Green/Go France” vacation raffle winner.

Linda took French classes in high school and college but now her future plans include taking a “refresher class” for her winning trip to France. She states that NMF’s raffle is the first thing she has ever won in her life and now she is bound for a spectacular, country estate home in France. Accompanying Linda in Spring, 2009 will be her husband, son, and two daughters (a 5 year old and another daughter who is graduating from college next year) and all are thrilled at the news.

Linda heard about the raffle through NMF Board member Gayle Jefferson. She received an informational flyer from Gayle and instantly knew that she believed in the mission of NMF. Linda likes that NMF “works hands-on with children and the environment and thereby creates the best hope for future environmental change”.

NMF would like to recognize and thank our donor, Michael Newbigin for this wonderful fundraiser, and his generosity in donating his estate in support of our work.

In keeping with our over-all mission, this will be a CARBON-NEUTRAL TRIP

The vacation package includes:

Round-trip airfare for two from your select city to Toulouse Airport
One week stay in “Las Soles”, a beautiful private home in the heart of Aveyron Gorge. The estate overlooks a large valley of fruit orchards, rolling fields and a small hamlet beyond. For those who know the map of France well, the location of the house is the Tarn Department (81) on the border of the Tarn and Garonne Department (82).
Accommodations include three large bedrooms, private baths, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge area, and a beautiful private swimming pool surrounded by a stone terrace for out door dining or lounging.
We’ll pay for two — the house will accommodate up to seven guests!

Terms and Conditions

Raffle package includes two round trip airline tickets and a one week stay in Las Soles, a private home in the Aveyron Gorge area of France. Trip availability begins July 21, 2008 and goes through July 20, 2009. Reservations at Las Soles, a private estate, are subject to availability and must be reserved 30 days prior to arrival. NMF is responsible for making the reservations. Passengers will fly economy class, round trip from their choice departure city. NMF is responsible for purchasing the two airline tickets and will consult with the winner to determine flight details. Plans must be made at least 90 days in advance. Winner will receive a complete travel packet with all travel and contact information. Accommodations allow for a maximum of seven people. Occupancy regulations are strictly enforced. Transportation to and from the airport are the responsibility of the winner. Your stay includes all applicable room tax. Departure and arrival Airline Tax are the responsibility of the winner.

Tax Information

This raffle is a fund raiser for the Newton Marasco Foundation. All proceeds from this raffle will benefit youth environmental programs of the Newton Marasco Foundation and follows within the foundation’s mission statement. Winner is responsible for all taxes related to the value of the prize and will be given appropriate tax forms at the end of the year. Tax reporting is the responsibility of the winner. Purchase of ticket(s) is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Newton Marasco Foundation is a non-profit 501(c )(3).
