The Foundation will award its 2008 Loudoun County Rachel Carson Scholars and winners of the Loudoun Goes Green Poster Contest.

About the play — A Sense of Wonder

A Sense of Wonder is based on the life and works of Rachel Carson. It is the story of one woman’s love for the natural world and her fight to defend it. It is the story of the extremely private Rachel Carson thrust into the role of controversial public figure. Written and performed by Kaiulani Lee, the play has been performed throughout the world. It was featured at the 2005 World Expo in Japan and has been performed in England, Italy, and continues to play throughout the provinces of Canada. The play was created with the help and guidance of many of Miss Carson’s friends and colleagues and with permission from the Rachel Carson estate.
