NMF’s Earth Day 2008 photo contest is being held in the State of Maryland. Students enrolled in a Maryland public high school in September 2007 are eligible to submit photographs that illustrate our theme of “Seasons in Nature”. Photographs can be submitted in one of the following categories:
For Example: Colorful fall foliage in a forest; a field of spring flowers; a sunny beach in the summer; a black and white photo of a tree covered in snow. People and animals can appear in your photo; however, the focus on the photo must be nature, such as a child finding seashells at the beach.
The Grand Prize winner will receive $300 and an additional $200 will be donated to that student’s school. The first place winner for each category will receive $125. Winners will be formally recognized at the Maryland Department of the Environment on April 18, 2008.
Entrants must complete an Entry Form for each photograph submitted. The entry form contains information on the contest rules, as well as on how and where to submit the photographs.
