Project Performance Corporation is supporting NMF in many areas. They are a large financial supporter and provide office space and equipment. They are serving as a corporate sponsor for our 2006 Environmental Charity Golf Classic, and their President is serving as the honorary chair for the golf event, as well as our “Sense of Wonder” presentation. PPC employees also volunteer to support many of our programs. In addition, NMF and PPC are teaming to implement our corporate greening program to assist companies in their implementation of green business practices. PPC is specifically helping implement our work with Guest Services, Inc. and develop our green business award program to reward businesses with innovative greening practices.

EPA granted NMF to work with high schools in Region 3 to provide hands-on environmental education in the classroom through our Field It Program. NMF is working with Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, Virginia and St. Croix Central High School in the US Virgin Islands to provide environmental expert lectures, take students on sampling field trips and ignite passion for our environment through their science classes.
In collaboration with EPA’s Brownfields Program, NMF created the GreenFocus Awards to educate youth and raise community awareness about the environmental and other socio-economic impacts posed by environmental contamination and blight, like brownfields, through photography.
NMF is working with Guest Services to implement our innovative Corporate Greening Program and help the company operate in a more energy-efficient and environmentally-sound manner.
NMF and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia teamed up to design and build environmentally-sound and energy-efficient Habitat homes in Northern Virginia. Together we are teaming with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia to raise money and provide volunteers for a green refurbishment project to create 12 condominiums that meet exceptional green building standards. We are also working together to implement the Brownfields component of our GreenFocus photography contest, as well as to implement our “greening” program with Guest Services, Inc.
