Green Earth Book Award

The Green Earth Book Award is the nation’s first environmental stewardship book award for children and young adult books.

Over 152 winning and honor books have been honored since 2005. Today, the award continues to garner attention from the literary world as an esteemed award, bringing recognition to authors and illustrators, but more importantly, providing the award-winning books to children.

In the Classroom & Library

NatGen has created and offers free  resource guides and tools that provide educators with new ideas and lesson plans to augment their curriculum. Parents and guardians can also utilize these lessons, many of which are connected to GEBA winners, to explore the outdoors with their little ones at home!

STEM Seed Grants

STEM Seed Grants support our ongoing efforts to engage and inform youth about STEM, environmental literacy, and science-based truth. NatGen offers mini grants that can be used to fund small-scale start-up or ongoing projects by schools, community centers, museums, libraries, military or veterans’ groups, associations or centers, faith-based-organizations, and nonprofits.
